Climbing Wall

Winter is almost over, which is a joyous thought for everyone, except avid ski-bums.  The days are getting longer, and stores are beginning to stock swim-wear.  But we are not there yet, and if your summer hobbies are calling to you in your sleep, it can be torturous to be forced by cold weather and snow to resist the call.  If you are getting bored with the climbing wall you have been using all winter, here are some ideas to spice it up until Spring gets here.
1.  Try blindfolding:  Relying on your sense of touch can create a new, invigorating experience.  It increases your appreciation of your other senses, and makes things a little more challenging.  There is nothing like feeling yourself hanging fifty feet in the air on the climbing wall with only your sense of hearing to  give you an idea of how high you are.
2. Handicap yourself:  Limit y ourself in some way or another to make it more challenging.  Take out your left leg, or make it a rule that you have to keep your legs together.  This will test your strength and balance in new ways.
3. Limit what holds you can use: If your holds are a variety of colors, make the red ones illegal.  Or the blue.  Mess around with the different colors and see which creates the most challenging workout.

4.  Have your buddy choose your path: It will give you more of a chance to interact with your friends, and you can be more secure knowing they are really paying attention.  Most likely they will enjoy making things as difficult as possible, so you know you will get a good workout,
